The Write Review

Without getting too excited, I'd like to talk about the fairly new site, Writing Fix.
This is by far the most extensive site on writing prompts I've seen to date - not to mention the other perks.

Writing Fix provides hundreds of miscellaneous ideas, imagination triggers, and pen pushers for the aspiring writer, and those suffering from a major case of writer's block.
Writing a fictional piece?  The right brain prompts will probably spark your creativity, and get that pen going.

Example:

"Something moved in the cupboard."

Writing an important piece on family relationships?  The left brain prompts will make those words flow just a little bit easier.

Example:

"List all the RELATIVES who made an impression on you. Choose several from your completed list and write about them."

Writing fix also has a random daily prompt: something writers could make use of by writing when the day's prompt sparks their imagination just right.

The poets, teachers, and children even have their own personal writing prompts here, where exercises are tailored to meet their specific needs.

Oh my god, don't get me started on the word games!  Writing Fix has provided a selection of so many different games for people who enjoy a little word play... be careful, they can be addictive.

Along with some basic tools of grammar and structure, Writing Fix is the place for any one needing just a little nudge to get the creativity budding.

Writing Fix has been around since 2001, with the help of the Northern Nevada Writing Project (NNWP), and the National Writing Project.
The site continues to grow in content and success as it approaches its fourth year on the world wide web.
Look for new additions, such as being able to write to the prompts while on the Internet and       e-mailing what you've written to yourself or to your teacher, teacher, friend, etc., this fall.

This is a site I make regular visits to, and actually, I think I'll go check it out right now.
