Mother Nature's Spring By Pamela Jannarone
Mother Nature's Spring
Crocuses creep, surprising the world
Daffodils speak with orange tongues curled,
A robin nests on her blue speckled eggs,
The Blue Jay hunts quickly yet never begs.
The March winds blow a sign of the coming,
Farewell Old Man Winter so cold yet so stunning,
Light friendly snowflakes send their true blessings.
Prepare for the new season and all its dressings.
Cocoons wiggle impatiently hoping to change,
Metamorphous is never planned nor arranged,
New life is beginning, green meadows a flow,
Tiny buds of appearance gleam morning dews glow.
The rabbit appears quietly never a word,
Its silence is understood but never heard,
Tiny life is beginning on nature's Mother Earth.
Rejoice and be proud of all its new birth
Sunshine and laughter warmly fill the air
Alas it has sprung, yes, spring is here!
Tiller the garden and prepare to seed,
A most adored season of all indeed!
Dare to Dabble - Poetically Speaking That Is!
By Pamela Jannarone
"Do you dabble?" asked a friend one day "Dabble? I questioned inquisitively.
"Yes, dabble, poetically speaking, that is." she replied with a smile.
"Why yes, I have been known to dabble here and there", I found myself getting involved deeply into a conversation with her on the art of words, Poetry.
For centuries famous writers, artists, and songwriters dabble in their quaint world of poetry. The world of poetry is in a class of its own. It's certainly a great way to spend time constructively while being not only creative but allowing yourself to express words in a most artistic manner.
Young children learn at a very young age to read and rhyme words, always being taught to broaden their horizons of the English language. You will find laughter and joy in their eyes as they think of the silliest rhymes quickly learning a new word that is fun. An enjoyable stage of learning, I might add! As this child grows older he or she will further be exposed to the elements of creative writing in English class or language arts where poetry is taught on a higher level, introducing styles, rules and rhythm. It is there, this child will either take what they have learned and continue to write or go out unto the world for further explorations of life. One fact for sure to realize is that Poetry has been around for centuries and will never cease. You can always go back to it at any given time no matter how old you are!
An individual that has a love for words will eventually learn to appreciate the meaning of poetry and dabble further into it, allowing deep expressions to flow freely, thus capturing the overall artistic expression of feelings, opinions, and or facts, and produce a valuable piece of work, a poem.
Writing poetry doesn't always necessarily have to rhyme. A well-written poem that doesn't rhyme phonetically, will shine through the expression of what was meant and
how the words were applied will surely speak for themselves.
Writing poetry is a sure way to announce to the world of how you feel about a particular event or time. Whether it is love poems, humor, or poems about the world around you, the possibilities are endless.
Poetry is a great way to express the written words in such an artistic manner and have great meaning even in the smallest of verse and in the shortest amount of time.

No need to worry, whatever was implanted years ago in your learning stages is still there, deep within your most inner feelings. Try it one day and you will see for yourself. It's also a way to relieve stress. Try writing a poem about your feelings of whatever is disturbing you and express it on paper. You don't have to publish it, just tuck it away into your daily journal of life. Unless of course, you have something there you want to share. Then please by all means share away and express yourself. There are zillions of poets out there waiting to communicate the very same language! Join a poetry group and you will feel an amazing power of creativity as you communicate with other poets.
