Stephen Mead is a published artist/writer
living in northeastern NY. Like many creative individuals, painting
and writing are gifts he feels he was born with and refused to let go of
upon reaching adulthood. There is an element of therapy and
spiritual exploration through his work through which he attempts to bring
catharsis not only to himself, but to others. He has exhibited in
galleries throughout NY state and in Provincetown, MA. One of his
earlier picture books, "Heroines Unlikely," received first prize by the
Gutenberg Litegraphic Society, Pictures & Stories.org. As a
predominantly self-taught poet and artist, Mr. Mead believes in
encouraging other individuals to continue pursuing their dreams.
