March 2004
Editor's Note

Welcome to this edition of 'Words Words Words.' If this is your first visit, than please, enjoy yourself. Take a look around, subscribe to this quarterly annual literary tribute, and refresh your mind with brilliant new literary works of art, as well as the fine resources offered to anyone interested in the literary field.

Ah, and winter sheds his tightly wound coil! Spring time is upon us again, and with spring comes fresh starts of all kinds. The snow is melting; let our inhibitions melt away with it! The earth is sprouting; let our ideas and goals sprout along with it! Now is the time to let our minds thaw out along with the ground, and let our projects become as fruitful as the earth promises to be.

Winter can feel like quicksand after a while, where everything seems to go in slow motion, and hibernation seems like a great idea. But now that spring is here, that quicksand is now a beautiful river of inspiration. We need to flow with the current, and make our goals come out of our heads and into creation!

It's now time to finish the story that's been sitting in your hard drive for the past four months. It's time to enter that poetry contest that you've been putting off. It's time to take leaps and bounds with your dreams, and let the words speak for you!

Yes, it's spring time again, and Words Words Words is as excited about the potential for new growth, for new words to fill the page, new writers to be born, and old ones to be enjoyed as you are. And to celebrate this season of birth, we've added a treat of prompts to get you started on new, and wonderful things.

Just to remind you, we are having our very first annual poetry competition in association with the new Words Words Words services addition at To view the guidelines and get your entry in early, go to

The Wheel Turns to Spring

The wheel turns to spring
Slows down to breathe
Burst wide open
Mother melts
Comes of age.
It is a stirring
An escaping of winter's cacoon
And a long,
Beautiful stretch.
After restful sleep
The wheel turns to spring.

The most technologically efficient machine that man ever invented is the book.
