Imogene Of The Pacific Kingdom

By Teresa Saari
Trafford Publishing ISBN: 141201642-8

A Literary Review, by Marylin Houle

Imogene is a little girl whose first ten years on the planet have been lonely.  When she was just a toddler, her father went away and never returned.  As if that wasn’t bad enough, when Imogene turned five, her mother left her too.

With a large void in her heart, Imogene went on with her life, living under the care of her not so loving Auntie Agnes; at least she had Sampson, the butler, who’d grown to be her very best friend.

As the years went by, Imogene awaited the return of

her parents, who were expected to come back by the time she turned ten years old.  During this time she suffered greatly and was only consoled by her tremendous love of swimming.  Imogene loved the water!  And found herself to be most truly at home in its welcoming womb.

Little did Imogene know what ties the water held to her parent’s mysterious disappearance and what kind of life awaited her within the ocean just behind the castle she’d been living in for the last five years of her life.

Teresa Saari has done an amazing job telling a story that will grab your attention and not let go until long after you’ve read her book.

Imogene Of The Pacific Kingdom is a book to be loved by both adults and children for the characters are so full of life and become part of you after you read this book.

Nothing could have prepared me (and most likely, Imogene) for the surprises that unfolded with each chapter – dealing with real and surreal subjects and stretching your imagination to the limit.

A pleasant read and a definite must buy for lovers of an adorable and exciting adventure.
